After digging deep into our ZCZ archive we pulled out this gem of a piece of film, Louise Bourgeois talking about and demonstrating the party trick her fathe Louise Bourgeois was born December 25, 1911 in Paris to Louis Bourgeois and Joséphine Fauriaux. The family, including Bourgeois’s older sister, Henriette, lived on Boulevard Saint Germain, where Louis and Joséphine continued the Fauriaux family antique business by opening a tapestry gallery. Bourgeois thus transforms the low floor piece of ‘Avenza’ into a freestanding sculpture, which appears to overflow in expansive rivulets to the ground below.
